Social reform

No, wait, come back!  This isn't gonna be a heavy, pedantic, morose or pissy piece.

Okay, maybe a little pissy, but hear me out.

Kathy made an observation in the comments about rights for single folks and that's an interesting discussion to have.  I can't wait to hear what she has to say.

But my question tonight, in this very short blog, is this: if you could enact one bit of social reform, what would it be?

Here's why I ask.

I have a cold.  Not the piggy flu, just an ordinary cold, and that's why this is both short and perhaps a bit pissy. 

See, I know you think that my one bit of social reform would be equality for everyone across the board.  And in the normal course of events you'd be right.  That's what I want.

Well, okay, along with an end to world hunger, an end to domestic violence and child abuse, and an end to all war. 

And a way that chocolate makes you actually lose weight, come to that.

But tonight all I want is for someone to cure the common cold.  I want big pharma to stop blocking all the advancements that are being made (which I know they're doing so they can make tons o' money off symptom relief -- which doesn't work for any length of time, just sayin'!) and let us have a cure for this. 

That's my wishful thinking tonight. 

And while I'm wishing for all those things, I've given up on the pony.  For now.  But I did find a site that caters to the puppy need.  Okay, truth to tell, I didn't find it, Bill who sometimes comments here did (thanks, Bill!), and it's TOO CUTE for words.

Seriously.  Toxic cute. 

And, here's something to make your eyes bug out.  This is quite the halftime show, which Eunice showed me.  It's the Army/Navy basketball game, but these girls!  Wow!  It's long, eight minutes, and worth every second.  They rock!

Oh yes! Daily Puppy is wonderful, there is also Daily Kitten, Cato fhte Day, Dog of the Day , Kitten Wars, Cna I has Cheezeburger, Cats in Sinks, and....
I admit a bit of a thing here, cats, dogs - it jsut occurs tome that I haven't looked for the same for horses.

Heh. Yes, wouldn't civility be an excellent change? Especially in politics and between radio and tv personalities.
