It's odd that it wasn't the day after we got home that I melted into a puddle of exhaustion, but it was today. Weird, but there ya have it.
So here are some photos -- seriously blurry and tilty and weird -- that I took of some things in San Francisco. If any of my SF buddies can give anecdotes, background, or better photos, I'd love to post them!
This is out by the Embarcadero. I was standing up straight. Really, I was!
Emo art! Because San Francisco is so dramatic!
This is NOT the Golden Gate bridge (which I think is actually red), but is the Bay Bridge. I think. It's really pretty impressive close up.
Palm trees! It's been a while since we've seen palm trees!
This is artwork, yes, but it's also a playground of sorts. You can climb on it and in, at least in some spots, inside it. I didn't, since I was favoring my foot at this point, but it looked like great fun!
Good food! And honesty in advertising!
See that ferris wheel? That's on Treasure Island. That's where the 1939-40 Expo took place, and several great mysteries are set there.
And here we see a typical San Francisco apartment.
Okay, no it's not. But it was designed to be a place to live, in a space-aged sort of future. Now, of course, it's art.
And this is, of course, what everyone drives in San Francisco. A Rolls. Because, you know, a jalopy just won't do.
All right, all right, that's not true. But isn't it an amazing vehicle?
So that's what I've got for the area we were in. Tomorrow or so I'll have people pictures, although I didn't get all of the relevant names. But I'll tell you who they are, insofar as I can.
And again, if anyone has any other pictures they want to display here, don't hesitate to let me know!
But the weather was fabulous and I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted to, but like I said, I was out there being in it, and that was a good thing!
Fran, you did good. Very interesting set, good angles. Very entertaining. If you have more, please post them.
